The History of Boyne Schoolhouse Lofts
Built in 1912, the Boyne Schoolhouse served the Boyne City community for decades as a six-room school where generations of local students learned and grew.
In the 1960s, the building was repurposed as an organ manufacturing facility. After the factory closed, it later served as a city center before transitioning to private ownership in the 1980s.
Today, this historic Boyne City landmark has been thoughtfully restored and transformed into six unique boutique lofts. Extensive renovations have created a one-of-a-kind Northern Michigan vacation rental experience that blends modern comfort with the building's original character and charm.
